Status: Requires observed use, not staged photographs.
For each chair or seating position record:
- Time and duration occupied
- Sun, shade, wind, temperature
- Surface under chair
- View from the seat
- Distance and angle to another chair
- Distance to door, path, table, or work
- Whether the chair was moved
- What ended the sitting
Classify only after observation: work chair, conversation chair, waiting chair, watching chair, eating chair, decorative chair, or chair nobody chooses.
The final piece should explain placement through use. Do not infer a person’s private mood from posture or duration.
