Audit whether the record contains:
- Date and reason for repair
- Before photographs
- Materials, sizes, model numbers, and source
- Shutoffs, circuits, valves, or access points
- Hidden route and measurements from fixed references
- Tests performed
- Permit or professional involvement
- Deviations from plan
- Remaining risk or future phase
- After photographs
Give the notes to a person unfamiliar with the work. Record what they cannot understand. The final article should revise the documentation, not celebrate the original repair.
